Tough Love Part 24
I have some free time to type rite now, so here goes! ^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^ Chapter 24 Going to Epic I worked up a storm doing the rest of my homework. It was a good thing for me because if not, I couldâ??ve sat there and wasted more time just thinking about what had just happened. I was feeling shaky in the body, and I wanted to see what he was doing because I wasnâ??t sure if he was feeling like I was, but I didnâ??t wanna be clingy. We hanged out last night, this morning, and today. Maybe he thinks I should take things slow and give him his space. I just hope Iâ??m not losing my mind. â??I can tell you just decided to cook.â? My dad said. â??I thought I wouldnâ??t be able to scramble anything up,â? I said. â??I know, we need more groceries.â? â??Yeah,â? then I whispered, â??and itâ??s kind of embarrassing. He probably think weâ??re poor.â? â??Honey, Michael is only in this house half the time. And when heâ??s in this house, heâ??s upstairs half the time. Good to know heâ??s out of your way.â? â??Yeah,â? I started laughing, â??Iâ??m sure youâ??re happy BECAUSE of that. But you should know that Iâ??ve read enough magazine articles about Michaelâ??s personal life with girls, that I drove myself sick. So I donâ??t want him.â? â??Anymore, you mean. You loved him when you were little.â? Oh GREAT! Good memories! I giggled a little because I felt hot for a second since I was a little uncomfortable. â??But Iâ??m happy to know that you donâ??t feel that way anymore.â? â??Because Iâ??m â??Daddyâ??s Girlâ??!â? I exclaimed. â??You bet!â? Then he leaned over to give me a high-five. Just then, Michael came rushing down the stairs. â??Hey Michael.â? Michael glimpsed at my dad. â??Hey, Mr. Swan.â? My pops stopped in his stance, and so did Michael. They acted like they were glaring, then my father lunged at Michael. Michael lunged back. For a second in horror, I thought they were serious, but Clarence just had Michael in a head-lock as they went back-and-forth like teenage boys playing. After they stopped, Clarence asked if I was surprised. I only shook my head. â??Iâ??m actually in a rush.â? Michael said as he was picking up his keys again. He gave my father his house keys back also. â??I could tell just a minute ago.â? â??Yeah, why are you?â? I asked. â??I need to get to Epic.â? â??You left something?â? I asked. â??No, I decided I wanted to check on a few of our records.â? â??Your brothers?â? â??Yeah, ours. I called them up, also.â? â??Why?â? Clarence asked. â??I need other opinions and I want to make sure things are straight. I called and Randy is still there.â? â??Iâ??m surprised youâ??re not.â? I said. â??Yeah, my job really isnâ??t a nine-to-five; especially considering who I am. I canâ??t let the ball drop, and I think my father knows that I have been skipping out and leaving early. Iâ??ve tried recording my alterations to songs, but I KNOW I need to be with them. Plus, Randy warned that he might be there, so I really need to get there.â? Everything he just said seemed to fly right over my head, because I asked him for my own request. â??Can I tag along? Can me and Dad tag along?â? â??Lyric, heâ??s rushing.â? â??But I wanna see him record. I think itâ??s cool.â? Plus from that last weirdness with the cake, I really need to get chummy with them again before I meet his notorious, intimidating father. Well, he seems that way to me. Intimidating at least. â??Yeah, I donâ??t mind.â? He said looking at my father in the eyes. He glimpsed over to me with a smile on his face AND in his eyes, then he looked back to my own, somewhat, intimidating father. â??Itâ??s Tuesday!â? he said. I knew that he was referring to the fact that it was a school night. â??I finished my homework, though.â? I guess that my sadness was a clever tool to help me to finish undesired work so I could have a better reward in the end. â??How long will it take?â? he asked. â??Two hours to the most. It should.â? Dad looked at his watch. â??Six-o-three.â? He reported. â??See, not late at all!â? I said. â??But I bet that youâ??re gonna be so excited, you wonâ??t be able to get any sleep; even if we get home around nine tonight.â? Good, he said â??weâ?! I just hope he donâ??t see the slight drowsiness in my eyes. â??Iâ??ll beâ??.â? â??Sheâ??ll be fine.â? Michael said. He finished my sentence for me! â??Let me change for a second.â? My dad said. â??Or you can stay in those clothes and look intimidating.â? I said with a grin. â??You know, youâ??re right. Come on. Letâ??s go with my cop uniform on.â? â??Okay.â? Michael said. After locking up, me, Michael, and my father headed for his Royce. Of course Father got shotgun. â??Aww, I feel lonely,â? I said jokingly. â??Well I guess this is how it feels like when yâ??all are constantly riding out.â? Dad said with a smile. Then he turned around and smiled at me. Once again, I shook my head. Michael was the total quiet gentleman around my father. I could tell he was a bit stiff. I thought that was cute because I know how heâ??s the complete opposite when itâ??s just us. He stops at empty gas stations for me, for Godâ??s sake, so I KNOW he was either fronting, or he REALLY was a little edgy. By the time we got to the â??local Epic Recordsâ? as he put it, I could tell that I was a place full of business and opportunities, so I was already hyperventilating in the back. â??You okay?â? My father asked. â??Just got the wind knocked out of me.â? I said. â??Itâ??s okay; youâ??re with me. If ANYONE needs to be surprised, it should be the employees.â? â??Okay.â? I said believing in what he said. I leaned on my father as we were walking in the building. I sorta wished that Michael would walk a little closer to me (heâ??s to my left), and would hold my hand. Then I remembered how he did that when we had breakfast with me and my father that first time. â??Why are you smiling for?â? My father asked. â??No reason.â? I sorta giggled like a giddy girl then. ^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^6^ Not the best part probably, but at least theyâ??re starting to FINALLY be friendly with each other. Weâ??ll see what happen next. I had this on my mind for a few hours now. And sorry for all those parts under 23. I WOULDâ??VE had the next part after â??Chapter 23; Part 1â? as â??Chapter 24â?, but I already had the â??Part 1â? stuck on Chapter 23, so I talked myself out of it and made it intertwine with each other, but the story took a life of its own ONCE AGAIN! Once again~Happy Thanksgiving! ~aariyan .
