â??Hey Nikki, this is Hilary.â? Michael spoke while walking up to Tyler and I.

â??Whatâ??s up?â? I greeted, flashing a weak smile.

â??Hey, Iâ??ve heard so much about you, and you Tyler.â? She was so giddy, and she was also one of the cheerleaders.

What a coincidence.

â??You were mentioned.â? I responded making Tyler snicker. I cut my eyes at her and she stopped.

â??Brenda.â? She spoke not even looking over at her.

â??Hilary.â? Brenda responded while rolling her eyes. I looked down the hallway and spotted the cheerleaders looking our way. Laughing as if something was funny.

It became clear to me that she wasnâ??t around for Michael but for making me jealous.

This made me angry. Michael was truly putting his heart on his sleeve and she was using him.

Michael gave me a warning look as if to tell me to be nice.

â??I like your outfit.â? I complimented her not knowing what else to do.

â??Well, I have to go.â? She spoke walking away from the group.

â??Sheâ??s using you Michael.â? I spoke up right when she was far enough.

â??What?â? He asked as if he was confused.

â??Oh come on, sheâ??s a cheerleader for goodness sakes. Sheâ??s using you.â? He seemed to be offended.

â??Ugh I knew youâ??d pull some crap like this. What would she use me for Nikki?â? he asked as if he didnâ??t believe me.

â??To get to me.â? I responded not wanting to admit that she was really around to make me jealous.

â??You are so self centered itâ??s quite sickening. The world does not revolve around you!â? He yelled startling me.

â??Youâ??re being a dumb ass! Sheâ??s been in your class for how long and now she all of a sudden wants to talk to you?

Think about it Michael. Stop being such a fucking retard!â?

I yelled back becoming quite angry at the fact that he didnâ??t believe me. I was just trying to help him out.

â??Get over yourself! What the hell? Are you jealous or something?!â? Him yelling at me caused me to flip out.

â??You dumb fuck! Iâ??m trying to be a fucking friend and your stupid bitch ass just donâ??t get it! Iâ??m not jealous you ass wipe Iâ??m trying to look out for you!â? I snapped back.

My face began to turn red and I was ready to swing.

â??I donâ??t need you to look out for me! I donâ??t need you at all! Just admit that you have a crush on me and stop bitching all the time.â?

My mouth flew open. My hands clenched into a fist.

â??Get the fuck over yourself!â? I yelled. By this time everyone was watching us including the teachers. A couple people stepped in the way trying to separate us.

â??Ugh youâ??re so annoying!â? I heard him yell while he walked away.

â??Fuck you!â? I yelled back walking in the opposite direction. I couldnâ??t believe we just argued over whether or not some chick was using him.

I couldnâ??t believe he stood up for her as if he fucking knew her for years.

But that was okay. When he got his little heartbroken I wasnâ??t going to be around to comfort him.

I damn near stormed into class and plopped down into my chair. Everyone knew not to mess with me when I was like this.

I sat there staring at nothing until the bell rang.

Once school was over I walked to my locker and started taking stuff out. Tyler and Brenda slowly walked up to me.

â??What the fuck happened? One second everythingâ??s cool and then the next second teachers holding you back.â? Her comment made me smirk.

â??Michaelâ??s dumb ass is what happened.â? I responded looking over at the two of them.

â??Donâ??t even think about it. Hilary canâ??t pretend to be a nice person forever.â? Brenda spoke while I closed my locker.

â??At least someone believes me.â? I responded slowly walking down the hallway.

â??You know we got your back.â? Tyler said while nudging me.

We walked out of the building and hung in front of the school for a while.

â??Aye boy, aye boy, come here. You just going to ignore me like that!â? I called out after some guy who looked terrified Tyler laughed hysterically.

Brenda was getting used to us talking this way but she still didnâ??t seem comfortable with it.

â??How could you guys do that? I couldnâ??t bring myself to it.â? She shook her head and both Tyler and I got an idea.

â??I dare you to do it.â? I replied. She quickly said no.

â??Come on dares are fun. Especially when you have no choice but to do it.â? Tyler said while pulling Brenda up to her feet.

â??I donâ??t even know what to say.â? Brenda spoke shyly.

â??Have you ever been approached by a guy before?â? I asked
already knowing the answer.

â??Yea.â? She responded.

â??Just say what they say to you. Guys get thrown off. They
donâ??t expect you to talk that way.â? Even though she was still unsure. I could tell that she wanted to do it.

â??Who should I do it to?â? She asked. I watched different people walking by and found the perfect guy.

â??Himâ? I responded nodding his way. She looked over in his direction and then quickly shook her head no.

â??Heâ??s like the cutest guy on the track team.â? She said this as if it was a bad thing.

â??Then Iâ??m doing you a favor. Go for it, heâ??s coming now.â?

He walked pass us and we stared at her waiting for her to say something.

She seemed extremely nervous but then just gave in. She sighed and stepped forward.

â??Aye, look at that ass!â? She yelled loud enough for him to hear. He whipped around and both Tyler and I began to laugh hysterically.

But he did something we werenâ??t expecting him to do. He began to walk towards us.

â??Oh shit!â? Tyler spoke looking extremely excited. Brenda turned dark red.

â??Were you talking to me?â? He asked as if he was offended.

â??Uh I uh- I-I-I.â? She stuttered horribly causing me to laugh louder.

â??Oh so now you canâ??t speak?â? He asked still wearing a serious expression. She was terrified and I felt the need to step in.

â??Look, she was just fucking around, stop getting all in your feelings.â? He still looked at her. I could tell that he wasnâ??t angry.

â??How would you feel if I did that to you?â? He asked flashing a smile. Man I picked them well. She owed me big time.

â??I-I donâ??t know.â? She replied while looking down at the ground.

â??Youâ??re adorable.â? He spoke causing her to smile. When he walked away she turned towards us.

Still wearing that goofy smile.

â??He said that I was adorable.â? She said as if she couldnâ??t believe it.

â??We heard.â? Tyler responded amused by her facial expression. She was the happiest I think Iâ??ve ever seen her.

â??Me, adorable.â? She was like a kid.

â??Thatâ??s what he said.â? I replied chuckling a bit.

â??But he said it to me.â? She reminded us for the third time.

â??We get it!â? We both screamed causing her to laugh.

â??I love you guys!â? She screamed wrapping her arms around each one of our necks. I could hardly breathe.

â??You can let go now.â? Tyler shrieked while pulling out of her grasp.

â??I feel like a new person! I should definitely harass guys more often.â? Were we bad influences.

â??Hell yea you should. Thereâ??s nothing like a dude with a nice ass. Oh damn, you looking good.â? Tyler spoke to some guy that walked past.

We were bad influences.

â??Look over there.â? Tyler spoke pointing towards the parking lot. When I looked over I couldnâ??t believe my eyes.

Michael was hanging out with the cheerleaders. The fucking traitor.

I could understand him wanting to be with one of them. But hanging around them as if they were friends was another issue.

â??Heâ??s cut off.â? I spoke coldly. He disgusted me at this point.

â??But his teammates arenâ??t right?â? Tyler asked making me laugh.

â??Is that all you can think about?â? I asked nudging her a bit.

â??No, I think about food too.â? She responded as if this was a valid point.

â??You two are such dudes.â? Brenda added in while shaking her head. After a while of hanging out we all went our separate ways.

On the way home I couldnâ??t help but think about the situation with Michael.

I just hoped that he didnâ??t think this girl was there for him. No matter how much I disliked him at the moment.

I didnâ??t want to see him get his heart broken.
