Tough Love Part 21; Part 2
Hey everyone!! Thankx for the votes soo farr! Here comes Part 21 Part 2 to this splentastic story! :). -Luv Aariyan. &(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*) Part 21; Part 2 Talking with Shaun Shaun seems to be the type of woman you could tell your problems to. Now if she was my cousin, I would love her! But not as a step-mom. I feel that my feelings toward her are at least decent because people need to come to terms that that not every parent is a good parent. The ones that bark at you the most donâ??t know that youâ??re secretly self-destructing yourself. I decided to take a risk, though. I went out on the porch, where I saw Shaun at. â??Hey, Shaunie.â? â??Heeey!â? I didnâ??t mean to say that! Itâ??s just that when I say her name, I always secretly add on the â??iâ? and â??eâ?. â??Sorry about that.â? â??Well, itâ??s fine. I like that you gave me my own nickname.â? â??Itâ??s just a secret habit.â? â??Oh, itâ??s okay. Your father does it all the time.â? Good to know! I thought with fake enthusiasm. â??Yeah, so about the ball situation, I had a few ideas for my hair thought Iâ??ve seen people withâ??.â? â??Like what?â? She totally cut me off! â??Like, well Iâ??m not sure what they are called, but other than my usual curliness, I saw different hair styles. I definitely donâ??t want it like how I did for my party. I want something new and fresh! Maybe like how Josephine Baker had her hair.â? â??Josephine Baker?â? â??Yeah, Josephine Baker.â? â??What you know about her?â? â??That she wasnâ??t afraid to push buttons.â? Though we werenâ??t arguing, I had growing intensity as I answered each of her questionsâ??that was until my last response. She only paused to look at me, then looked away. â??Okay. Well, your hair is already short, so we can make something happen.â? â??And, I think I have my dream dress in mind too. I think I saw someone wearing the same kind, but itâ??s literally crafted in my mind.â? â??Okay. What colâ???â? â??Black!â? I said before she had the chance to finish her sentence. â??I shouldâ??ve known.â? She said with a smile. â??But they asked us to try and have on dark colors, anyways.â? She said, knowingly. â??Why?â? I asked. â??To correspond with the dark colors of fall. So that means that I wouldnâ??t show up with some bright yellow on, despite my skin tone.â? She giggled a little. â??So what color are you going to wear?â? â??Thatâ??s all a big secret,â? then she covered her lips up with her right index finger. While looking at it, I noticed that her finger looked all long, and straggly. Definitely skinny. And I thought my dad liked them with skin and a little fat on their bones! â??Do you still need someone to go to the ball with?â? â??Oh, Iâ??ll try to ask someone from school.â? â??So, you must have a few candidates under your wings?â? â??Too many,â? I said, smiling. â??Thatâ??s all good, as long as you donâ??t get too caught up in it.â? â??Trust me, thatâ??s what I tell myself; and most of the time, Iâ??m able to avoid it.â? â??I know what ya mean! That was me at that age!â? â??Really? How?â? â??Well honey, deep down, Iâ??m mixed.â? â??I knew that! But with what?â? â??You wouldnâ??t believe me, but my mom is Zimbabwean, and I have a British father.â? â??Oh. I knew you were mix. Now I know youâ??re mix, but what youâ??re mixed with is more interesting now. So you mustâ??ve loved being mixed while in school.â? â??No. Not all the time.â? â??Why?â? â??Because, hello, Iâ??m mixed, Lyric. It couldnâ??t get any worser than that. I mean, I couldâ??ve been both genders. That woulda been worse in our society. But being mixed was bad enough for me sometimes.â? After a minute, I said what I REALLY felt was true: â??Well, I didnâ??t know my dad was into mixed women. My mother wasnâ??t mixed.â? She looked over at me. I could tell she was disappointed and disturbedâ??let alone: insulted! â??Well, I am half black. If you got any black in ya, society considers ya black. And at my school, I was just considered yellow bone.â? My dad came out then. He grabbed our shoulders, and squeezed them. â??See you, honey. Donâ??t wait up.â? â??You plan out, I mean, you plan on being out that late?â? I said, trying to straighten out my words. â??No, I shouldnâ??t. But I donâ??t want you out here, waiting out on the porch, either,â? â??Of course notâ? I said. â??See you, Lyric.â? Shaun said. Then she leaned over and hugged me. â??Bye, Shaun. E. Bye, Shaunie.â? I said, smiling. She only laughed, and waved my joke off. â??See ya later girl.â? She said again. Then I watched as my father carefully made sure she was in her car completely. Then he followed her, since she drove over. If only it could just be me and Dad. I thought to myself. Yeah, me and Clarence. Not me and ALLEN! And P.S., I didnâ??t get to learn all of the things I wanted to about Shaun. For starters, I wanted to know if she was older than Dad. &(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*)&(*) Things will be getting better, PRETTY SOON! Iâ??ll sleep on it, and see if I can add anything before that event, but weâ??ll C! Plus, I got an idea now, so I shouldnâ??t have to break both ideas up in two parts. Thanks for reading!! -Aariyan. P.S. I canâ??t believe it. But on this day: NOVEMER 7, 2011, Conrad is found Guilty. Either way, I miss you Mike, and there should be no reason for us speaking of you in third person, because youâ??re supposed to be here with us. --Luv Aariyan.
