Dont forget me (story pt.4)

"michael look at this" i said handing him the magazine that had a double page of pictures of us at the airport. "they said 'michael pictured with unknown girl' and 'one things for sure he could do better'" i said nearly in tears
"oh you just have to ignore everything they say"
"how?" 
"just pretend you don't care even if it really does. they just want a story" michael said. 
"how do you do it?" i say shocked
"do what?"
"everywhere you go people follow. how do you live normally?" 
"im not going to lie, it is hard but you have to learn to live with it. its the price you pay"

i wasn't used to having the press following me. if i wore a lose fitting top one day, the next it would be in a magazine saying I'm pregnant. i could just go to the shops to get some milk or just go down to go shopping. it was weird but like michael said its a price to pay and i really couldn't imagine life without him.

Ring, ring, ring, ring "who rings at this time of night" says michael rolling over in bed. i stumble to the phone, tripping over the hairdryer cord "hello?" i said into the phone 
"claire, its ellie"
"do you know what the time is in LA? thanks for waking us up." i say impatiently "well its important" she said sounding kind of stuffy, michael had got up by this time and was hovering around "its mum..... um claire.......she um.....died"............
