Notebook story 8

A couple months have gone by, its August now in 3 days it will be my birthday. I havenâ??t seen MC now for officially 4 years, I miss her so much. Her dad was murdered last week, and her mom left them a few months ago. Sheâ??s living with a foster parent right now Iâ??m not sure where though but Iâ??d give anything to see her again.

Me: (Sitting on the couch looking at the floor)
Michael: Kelly? (walks in from outside) Kelly?
Me: (staring at the floor not saying a word)
Michael: (Sees me and walks over to me) heyâ?¦whats wrong?
Me: (I look at him) Remember my little niece MC?
Michael: Yeah? What about herâ?¦
Me: Her mom left themâ?¦and her dad was murdered last week, sheâ??s living with a foster parent right nowâ?¦..Iâ??d give anything to see MC again
Michael: (sits down next to me and rubs my back)
Me: Iâ??ve gotta get to workâ?¦.see you when I get back
Michael: alright (kisses me) be safe
Me: (smiles) I willâ?¦you stay out of trouble
Michael: Canâ??t make any promises (chuckles)

I left and headed to work my modeling agent was running behindâ?¦what a huge surprise sheâ??s always late. I didnâ??t know that Michael made a few phone calls while I was gone, when I got home he had a huge smile on his face.

Me: Whatâ??s going on??
Michael: I found the perfect birthday present for you
Me: okay? Am I gonna like it?
Michael: Youâ??re gonna love it
Me: Alright, Iâ??m trustin you
Michael: (laughs) well whereâ??s my Honey Iâ??m home Kiss?
Me: Sorryâ?¦(I kissed him) honey Iâ??m home!
Both: (laughs)

Itâ??s August 4th todayâ??s my 30th birthday when I woke up Michael wasnâ??t in bed, I searched the house looking for him but I couldnâ??t find him, I found a note on the front door.

I looked at the clock, itâ??s 11:30 another 30 minutes at Mike should be home. I loved living with Michael he makes me feel so safe and loved and heâ??s always there for me when times are rough. With out him I donâ??t know what Iâ??d doâ?¦I heard the door open I walked over to the door to see Michael and a girl that looked like she was 9â?¦.she looked really familiar but I couldnâ??t quiet figure it out.

Michael: Happy Birthday sweetie
Girl: Happy birthday Auntie Kelly!
Me: (Thinking â?? â??Auntie Kelly? Auntie Kellyâ?¦oh my!!â?) Caitlyn!! 
Caitlyn: (walks over to me and hugs me)
Me: (I hug her) I missed you so much sweetie
Caitlyn: I missed you too Auntie Kelly
Me: (I looked at Michael) how did you?
Michael: I made a few phone calls (he smiles) andâ?¦
Me: And what?
Michael: Sheâ??ll be living with us from now on
Me: (my eyes grew wide) really?!
Michael: Yes!!

I was so happy, this is the best birthday that Iâ??ve actually had so far. But now that my brother is no longer with usâ?¦itâ??ll be different. I know MC is still hurting deep inside and so am I. In a few hours Michaelâ??s parents will be over along with his siblings. I actually feel like I have a family nowâ?¦I grew up fighting for my life, my parents kicked me and my brother out of the house when we turned 13 and we defended ourselves for 9 years. Iâ??m afraid to go back to my old ways, getting in fights, drinkingâ?¦I havenâ??t told anyone about my life style Iâ??m afraid too. Later Michaelâ??s family arrived and we all started talking, sharing memories, laughs and tears. It was pretty late when they left. MC was already in bed. Michael and I both headed to bed. 3 days have gone by and I woke up to a little girls scream. I jumped out of bed, and I didnâ??t see Michael anywhere, or MC, Wait!! Whereâ??d MC go!!
