Long Live The King.
This isn't really much of a story.... more like memories. I remember how I used to have a big crush on Michael Jackson when I was younger, how I would bug the hell out of my sister and cousin to play his songs over and over again, and how I was scared out of my mind of the scene in Thriller when he turned into a werewolf lol. Yes I am guilty of making jokes and even laughing at some of the jokes that were said about him..... but you know what? I always had love in my heart for the man, though I disagreed with some of the things he did. I have always loved his music, but I didn't completely realize until now how much of a humanitarian he actually was. Like the saying goes, "you never know what you have until it's gone." June 25th was the last day of school, I went to get a summer assignment done and over with, the 8th graders from my middle school were graduating, I walked back home, etc, etc. A while after me, the family, and a family friend were relaxing at home, I was just playing a game on my computer when my Mom shouted out "Michael Jackson is dead!" I looked at her with disbelief and said "Michael JACKSON? Wow...." I at first thought that he was just in a coma since the original source came from an individual near UCLA Medical Center and that he was going to pull through. I tried to tell my parents and the family friend that, but the family friend had disagreed with me. Unfortunately the news had been official that the legend has left our Earth. I was sad and bewildered by the whole thing, though I didn't start to cry until I looked more into the tributes and how he was. The tears came down my cheeks one night before I slept. Long Live The King of Pop, God bless you Michael Joseph Jackson and thank you for your diligence, kindness, and creativity. -- Chibuzo.
