Debby: Youâ??re motherâ?¦sheâ??s got a 40 percent chance of livingâ?¦.her cancer has gotten worse. Me: (my whole body went numb)â?¦â?¦â?¦â?¦40 percent? Debby: 40â?¦ Me: (I looked over to Caitlyn and Hayden) â?¦â?¦â?¦guys (my voice sounded Crackly) Hayden: (walks over and hugs me) Caitlyn: (hugs me) Me: (I put my head on their shoulders and tears slowly ran down my face) what if she doesnâ??t make it guysâ?¦. Doctor: (walks over to me) Are you Stephanieâ??s daughter? Me: yes (I looked at him) â?¦ Doctor: I need to speak with you in private Me: alright (I wiped my eyes and followed the doctor down the hall) Michael: (walks over to the desk) umâ?¦hi Nurse: (looks up from her computer) Mr. Jacksonâ?¦hello, may I help you? Michael: yeahâ?¦can I make a donation? Nurse: sure Michael: to a specific person Nurse: Okay (she smiles) As Michael was making his donation the doctor told me terrible news. Doctor: Now she may only live for 3 more monthsâ?¦. Me: (I frowned) are you sure? Doctor: yes unless we can get enough moneyâ?¦she might not make it Kellyâ?¦ Me: umâ?¦can I visit her? Doctor: sure (he opened my motherâ??s door) Me: (I walk in) Doctor: Iâ??ll send your friends downâ?¦. (he closes the door) Me: (I walk over to my momâ??s side and sit down next to her) Hi mommyâ?¦ Mom: hey angelâ?¦.(she looks at me) how are you? Me: okay (I smiled) â?¦how are you? Mom: Iâ??m alright, David came by earlierâ?¦he told me that your favorite musician Michael Jackson, I think thatâ??s his name, but he told me he would be down at the mall today Me: I know Mom: His name is Michael right? And how do you know this? Me: yes his name is Michael Jacksonâ?¦.i was at the mall today (I smiled and tried to hide it)â?¦.umâ?¦ Mom: Did he pick you? Me: umâ?¦ Mom: Kelly!! Your face is turning red, did he? Me: (I nodded my head) Mom: Oh my gosh! (smiles) thatâ??s awesome!! My little girl is gonna finally be in one of her idolâ??s videos Me: (I smiled) heâ??s here right nowâ?¦.. Mom: is he really? Or you just messin? Me: Mom- Knock knock Caitlyn: Itâ??s us!! Me: Oh come in! Caitlyn, Hayden, and Debby walked in. But I didnâ??t see Michael, where could he be?? We all started talking and sharing memories, until I heard another knock this time I got up and opened the door. Me: (I smiled) where have you been? Michael: (smiles) places Me: uh-hu. Well come inâ?¦my mom would like to meet you, sheâ??s never really seen you Michael: okay Me: (I let MJ in and I close the door) Mom Mom: yeah? (she looks at me) Me: This is Michael Jacksonâ?¦ Mom: (Smiles) Michael Jackson, Kellyâ??s always talking about you Michael: (giggles) Me: (I wanted to slap his arm but I didnâ??t, I shoved him a little) Michael: Iâ??m sorry Kellyâ?¦but thatâ??s cute Me: Mom (I glared at her but I couldnâ??t hold it I just laughed) Mom: (smiles) so when are you guys starting the video Michael: weâ??re gonna rehearse for a week and half, then probably on the 14th well start the recording Mom: sounds exciting! I should warn you Kelly can be a bit of a klutz Me: Complete lie mother! I slipped on a puddle in the kitchen and down I wentâ?¦after that sheâ??s called me a klutzâ?¦ Michael: Wowâ?¦you guys have a great bond! Both: We know! It was 10: 40 p.m. when we left. Tomorrow we start rehearsalsâ?¦.i wasnâ??t to excited I mean I was excited but I was still depressed knowing that my mother might die, and sheâ??s been in that hospital for about 8 monthsâ?¦ Todayâ??s the day! The start of rehearsal! Caity Cat and Hayden came along to watch. Me: (I walk in with Caitlyn and Hayden right behind me) Iâ??m so excited! Maria: (Sees me) Kelly? Me: (I look at her) â?¦â?¦Mariaâ?¦â?¦Maria!! Oh my god! Hey!!! Maria: hey (smiles) I take it Michael picked you as the lucky lady? Me: yupâ?¦howâ??d you know? Maria: Michael himself told meâ?¦.heâ??s been talking about you all day!! Michael: Maria! (walks up) Maria: sorryâ?¦Iâ??ll see you later Kelly (walks off) Michael: So Kellyâ?¦.are you ready? Me: yup Michael: alright, get comfortable and Iâ??ll be in this room I walked into the bathroom to get changed, I changed into gray gauchos, and a white tank top, and for my feet I just wore my socks. I didnâ??t feel like slipping my shoes on. I walked into the room Michael told me to go to, he was wearing black sweat pants, and a white t-shirt and he was in his socks lol. Me: (I giggle) nice Michael: (looks at me) Are you copyin me? (smiles) Me: no, I think your copying me! There was a brief silence, then we both burst out laughing. For some reason I felt really comfortable around Mike, he was like a really great friend even though I just met himâ?¦ about 20 minutes into rehearsal I just couldnâ??t focus Michael: Kelly? (Pauses the music) Me: yeah? â?¦..(I looked at him) Michael: everything alright? Me: Just thinking Michael: about your mom? Me: Yupâ?¦ Michael: well I think your momâ??s gonna liveâ?¦ Me: only a 40 percent chance Mike Michael: well I think itâ??s been boosted Me: what do you mean? Michael: I just made a donation yesterday for your mom Me: (a rush of energy flew through my body!) Michael!!! (I hugged him) thank you so much!! How can I ever repay you?! Michael: (hugs me) (his hands are around my waist) Wellâ?¦.how about you and I go out for dinner tonight? So we can get to know each other a little better? Me: (I smiled) Alrightâ?¦umâ?¦â?¦.Michael Michael: yeah? Me: you can remove your hands nowâ?¦I let go a couple minutes ago Michael: (removes his hands quickly) â?¦â?¦sorry (blushes) To be continued!!!
