Lidia + Michael = ?: {*Part 1*}
Well, hello. Yes, I'm at it again. This is the writer of "Unexpected". My nickname on here is going to be Lucky Star, because I want to be anonymous. So, I'm probably not going to mention my name. Anyway, this is my new story! Enjoy! ----------------------------------------------------------------- ~Info~ Name: Lidia Jett Collins Birth: September 29th, 1958 Location: Gary, Indiana Age: 14 Year: 1972 ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hi. I'm Lidia. Well, you already knew that. But, anyways, I just moved to Gary from the crowded streets of New York. The transition is kind of weird for me because there's a lot of land around here unlike the city. I didn't want to move, but I had to. My dad just got a job opportunity here, so we had to leave our home. And, I hate it so far. I know, I know. I seem like a bad daughter for not being all happy for my dad and pretending that I'm overjoyed to live here. Not gonna' happen. It sucks in Gary. All of my friends are in the city and I can't even see them. Well, tomorrow's the first day of school. Yeah, we moved here just in time for the school year. I'm going to be the new kid... again! I've already moved like five times. Each time marked the start of one of the worst school years ever. I just hope that it'll be different this time. *~The Next Day~* Well, time to get ready for a day of torture. So, I sit up in my bed and lift my arm to slap my alarm clock so it'll turn off. It goes off just as I raise my arm up, so I end up slapping my bedside table which leaves a red mark on my hand. The perfect way to start the morning. I moan and slide out of the covers. I pick out my outfit: A yellow sundress with black heels. After that, I get in the shower. As I'm standing in there with the hot water slowly trickling down my body, I get absorbed in my thoughts and stay in there for twenty minutes. Then, I realize how long I'm taking and turn the shower off. I wrap a warm, clean towel around my body and start to blow dry my hair. Then, I put on my outfit. When I'm done with that, I put on my favorite yellow studs, do my makeup, and walk downstairs. *Mom*: {Flips the eggs} Good Morning, Sunshine. *Me*: {Yawns} Yeah, yeah. *Mom*: Are you ready for the first day of school? *Me*: No. *Mom*: {Turns towards me} Listen, Honey. I know how you feel about us moving. But, this is a great opportunity for your dad. He could end up writing articles for a really famous magazine. My dad works for the newspaper. His best friend offered him the job when we were at the local diner right by my house in New York. I love my dad, but I find it very hard to believe that he could end up working for "Rolling Stone". *Me*: Mom, I realize that this gives dad a lot more job opportunities, but I don't think you know how I feel right now. *Mom*: Well. {Turns back towards the stove} I'm, uh, sorry for saying that then. *Me*: Mom. Please stop doing that. *Mom*: Doing what? *Me*: You pretend to sound depressed so I'll feel bad. *Mom*: I do not do that. Then, my father comes stomping down the stairs. Just what I needed. *Dad*: {Straightens his tie} Good Morning. *Me*: {Silence} *Mom*: {Silence} *Dad*: Um, did I interrupt something? *Mom*: No, you didn't Walter. Just...{Hands me my breakfast} don't worry about it. *Dad*: Come on. I'm a father. I'm here for these kinds of things. *Me*: {Bites toast} Just leave it alone, dad. *Mom*: Lidia! Don't talk to your father like that! He was just trying to help. *Me*: Exactly. All you guys ever do is try to help. But you don't end up changing the situation at all. You just make it worse! *Mom*: Now, Lidia- *Me*: My bus is here. I'll see you guys in a few hours. So, I grab my bag and walk out the door. As I'm walking down the street, a few idiots bump in to me and knock me over. *Dude #1*: {Laughs} Did you have a nice trip, sexy? *Dude #2*: {Laughs} Yeah, hope you have a nice fall. *Me*: {Stands up} I don't have time for your ignorance. So, I walk away and leave them standing there. I got on the bus and started searching for a place to sit. There was only one seat available. It was next to this girl who was wearing a yellow tee-shirt and black pants. Her bouncy blond curls were squished under her black beret. She was also wearing nerd glasses the made her big blue eyes pop out. She was looking out the window with a happy look on her face. *Me*: Can I sit here? *Girl*: {Looks at me} Oh, sure. *Me*: {Sits down} Thanks. *Girl*: You look new. Did you just move here? *Me*: Actually, yeah. I did. My name's Lidia. *Girl*: {Holds out her hand} Angie. *Me*: {Shakes her hand} Cool. *Angie*: So, is there anybody you want me to tell you about? I know pretty much all of the people on this bus. *Me*: Um, yeah. Who's {Points} he? *Angie*: Oh, that's Michael. Michael Jackson. He's actually one of my really close friends. I could introduce you if you want. *Me*: Kay. Sounds good. *Angie*: You're not even gonna' freak out or anything? *Me*: {Giggles} No. I know who he is. I'm just going to treat him like a normal person. *Angie*: Wow. I like you, new girl. *Me*: Thank you. So, we finally arrive at the school. It was a really big building that was made out of hard brick. Me and Angie get up from where we're sitting, but almost get trampled on from all of the other kids slurring out of the bus. *Angie*: {Yells} Hey! Ever heard of patience?!? Gosh! *Me*: {Laughs} You're crazy, Angie. *Angie*: I'll take that as a compliment. When we get in to the building, we start walking over to the office to get our schedules. The line is so long, it was winding down almost the whole hallway. *Angie*: What's your first class? *Me*: Math. *Angie*: Yes! *Me*: What? *Angie*: We have the same schedule. *Me*: Oh yeah! Then, some random guy walks up behind Angie. *Guy*: What up, girl? *Angie*: {Turns around} OMG! Michael! {Hugs him} *Michael*: Whoa whoa whoa! Calm down, A! *Angie*: Sorry. *Me*: {Whispers} Would you mind introducing me? *Angie*: Oh yeah. Michael, this is Lidia. Lidia, this is Michael. *Michael*: {Blushes} Um... hi. *Me*: Hi. *Angie*: So, show me your classes. *Michael*: {Shows her his schedule} *Me*: We all have the same schedule. *Angie*: Yippee! So, we start walking to class together. When we get to math, everyone is already at their seats and the teacher is copying some equations from a math book and putting them on the board. Everyone turns to each other and starts whispering and pointing. *Mrs. Jones*: {Turns around} Oh. You're late. What's the meaning of this? *Michael*: Listen, we were just- *Angie*: Showing our new friend around the school. She's new here. *Mrs. Jones*: Well, what is your friend's name? *Me*: My name's Lidia. *Mrs. Jones*: Well, Lidia. Why don't you go sit down? As for you two, I'll have to write a tardy slip. You know better. So, I sit down and take out my notebook. I start writing down the equations with my pencil. But, I was writing so fast, that my pencil flew out of my hand and landed with a ~tap~ on the floor. I bent down to pick it up, but so did Michael. So, our hands touched. *Me*: {Blushes} Thanks. *Michael*: {Blushes} Here. I took my pencil back and started scribbling down the other problems. I don't think that I like Michael... or do I? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Thanx for reading I hope you guys liked it! I won't write the next part until I get 10+ votes! *Lucky Star* <3
