The Day I Met Michael Jackson

My aunt was the make-up/wardrobe consultant during the run of the Jacksons Variety show back around 1977. One day, I didn't have school so I went to work with my aunt since my parents were both at work. So I was about 11 years old. 
   On this particular day, I was sitting backstage with my aunt, and the Jacksons were getting ready to arrive at the studio for the show. (I didn't know they were coming yet).
So I am a huge Jackson fan. When they first walked in I didn't realize them because I wasn't expecting them to show up. So then I hear a voice say: "Umm Marlon put that down. We must be in the wrong dressing room" It was Tito saying that because he had seen the girl's costumes laying out. (Janet's latoya's and Rebbie's)
   But then my aunt walked up to them and they greeted her "Hello Ms. Waverly. How ya doing" And my aunt tells them to come in because they can get dressed here and she'll bring the girls their dresses to another room. So then my aunt says "Guys I want you to meet my niece Bernadette" So then I walk to them and Jackie says "Hey Bernadette, Im gonna call you Bernie." And Michael says "awww she's adorable". And I say: Mike I love you! Can I hug you! And he let me hug his skinny self. haha... So then my aunt says "come on Bernadette, the boys have to get dressed" and I say, "can I watch?" and my aunt says no, but we can bring the girls their dresses and you can stay and talk to them while they get dressed. so I say Okay then.
   So I went to another room where the girls were sitting and waiting. Rebbie was combing Janet's hair, and Latoya had just arrived also. So we walk in and they say hi to my aunt and my aunt introduces me to the girls. So then we give them the dresses. They were talking to each other while they got dressed. And Latoya asked me how old I was. And I said 11. And Janet was like "I'm 11 too." And then my aunt came in and did their make-up. Janet was like "I want some make-up too." And Reebie said "you don't need any because you got baby skin. but you can have a little lipstick if you like." 
  Next think you know an old white guy comes in and says "10 minutes people!" So my aunt had to rush with preparing Janet and off they went. It was pretty awesome!
