Our "Thing" Part 3
Before I begin I just want to again thank you all who voted and liked this story. I appreciate your votes alot and that's why this part is dedicated to you and Michael Jackson. PS: this part might not be as good as the first two parts so fair warning. -norah So it was official. Rae was marrying Perry. A rich guy, with his own everything but she barely knew him. She only had to see him once but he was her fiancee. Days went by since that weekend, and she still didn't believe it and didn't want to acknowledge that she was to be a rich man's wife. She obviously wasn't okay with the idea of her parents going behind her back and arranging things like that but she has no choice but to go along with the whole thing. Or does she? It was a Wednesday morning and her and Michael barely exchanged words over breakfast. Michael: *clears throat* So when is it happening? Rae: I don't know yet. Michael: Don't you at least have to say yes first? Rae: Yeah but you know my mom and Dad. This means alot to my dad and my mom well if she doesn't get things her way she- Michael: Throws a tantrum? Yeah I remember your 16th birthday. Rae: *smirks* The cake was meant to be pink. Michael: And she caused a scene because it was a cake of my face. *smirks* I'm going to miss you. When you're gone. Rae: I'm not leaving today you know. Or tommorow. Or next month or- Michael: You'd be lying if you added 'ever'. Rae hated seeing her friend so down over this whole thing. She was going to miss him. Heck, Michael was the only thing she was going to really miss. Not her job or her co-workers. She got in lateish that morning and everyone was already gossiping away about what happened on the previous episode of "Loving Soul". Apparently, a man got back from the dead to profess his love to some much younger woman who was his son's who is really his nephew's girlfriend and someone switched eggs at the hospital but it went all wrong. Typical soapie garbage. Raeleen thought the writers must've spoken to her family because her life went from bland to bad soapie material. Then the gossipers moved along to Keyontay. The queen of something at the office but was replaced by either Melinda Torres, the secretary Sierra Owens or the other girl Beth. Her surname was always a mystery. While they were whispering about Keyontay's affair with a rockstar from France, Kendall bursted in. Kendall: Hate to ruin the party, ladies but the boss is calling everyone into the boardroom now. At that, everyone made a beeline for the boardroom where the cover of the latest You magazine was on display and glasses of champagne were at the entrance. Kendall: Grab a glass everyone! This is going to be a big one! Rae: I don't drink. Kendall: Yeah right. How many 21 year olds don't drink? Melinda: The boring kind like her. *shoving a glass at her* Boris: Silence. Everyone: *quiet in that wierd way* Boris: Glasses in the air we have alot to celebrate! Kendall: We certainly do, McReady! Boris: This issue of You has beaten it's rival S.O.S Mag for the first time since Keyontay left! Everyone but Rae: *cheers* Boris: I have Melinda to thank on her insightful article about the cabbages at the boarding school. Come over, Torres. Everyone but Rae: *claps* Rae couldn't help but think that should have been her not that skank! Melinda: Thank you, sir! I feel so honored! *hugs him* Boris hugged her back and was caressing her back with his hands in "that" way making Rae thankful it wasn't her. The nerve of that pervert! Boris: To celebrate, I have hired out a water park for the whole day tomorrow for the whole staff. Kendall: And everyone has to bring a famous friend! Sierra: Even you, Rae. She might bring a politician! Everyone but Rae: *laughs* Rae: Well for your- Kendall: Yeah we get it. To Melinda everybody! Everyone but Rae: Melindaaaaa! Throughout that whole day, there was alot of excitement going around. Last time they had something like that, Keyontay brought along Mick Jagger. Rae found that hard to believe. Melinda was bringing her 'famous' boyfriend. Paul McCartney's close friend's neighbour's first born son. The whole office was buzzing and it was very annoying. Rae went home with a little bit more satisfaction from her day than usual and got in on Michael watching cartoons. Rae: Is it that funny? Can't be. It's a boring repeat of Mickey Mouse.*jokingly* Michael: For your information, it is very funny. Funnier than your favorites the Looney Tunes. Rae: Bugs is the best. There's something I want to tell you. Michael: You think I'm fat? Rae: No. What's wrong with being fat? Michael: You like me again? Rae: No you wish. Michael: I give up. Rae: Thank you. Tommorow we're going to the water park at work and everyone is bringing along a celeb and I know they aren't even that famous anyways so- Michael: I'll pass. Rae: What? It's been forever since we've been there. Michael: I know but it's a no. Rae: Why? Have you finally grown up? Michael: You just want to use me to prove a point to the others. Rae: No I mean yeah but it's not how you think. Michael: You're tired of being treated like nothing so you could use my help. Rae: Glad you get it. Please? Michael: *shakes head* I'm busy. Rae: Don't lie. Michael: Wow you're good! But no. Rae: Fine. *getting on her knees and singing off tune* Michael puh leeeeeease accompany a friend to the water park. So she wants to spite Kendall, but who cares? It'll be fuuuun and yeah- Michael: *laughing* Be glad I like you. Rae: *hugs him* Thank you thank you thank you!! It'll be fun. Michael: I know. Just wear something nice, okay? Rae: Okay. Why? Michael: Nah don't. We don't want other guys checking you out now do we? Rae: Where did that come from? Michael:*blushing* Nowhere. Nothing. Can't wait. Bye. Mickey is getting a little boring. Rae: Mickey Mouse boring you now? Okay bye. See you tommorow. **************************************************************** Okay so that's it.
