I seriously didnt know how to react. Should I be happy he called or angry it was so late or emotionless? At that moment the third option seemed to be the best option. What did he say? I asked my mother who looked at my stomach. I should be used to her stares, but they still annoy me somehow. He just wanted to know if you were okay. You havent been to school for months. Have you told Zora at least? she asked. I shook my head. Zora is my friend in fact my best friend in the world but she was honestly very outspoken and wouldve blabbed.                                                                                                                                                                              Stacey, dear, as the father of the baby, Michael has the right to know about this child. Why did you break up anyway? my mom questioned giving me a sad look. We broke up because of irreconciliable differences. Hes in the jock crowd and Im just nowhere. Besides, tonight is prom night and he should have fun. I said. Stacey this is no time to be selfless. You need to call him and tell him because me and your father simply cant afford having you and your baby here. she said.                                                                                                                                                                  I looked at her with a look of despair. Why was she talking like that? Clearly there was something nobody was telling me. Your father got laid off at work and we- before she carried on, I was already in tears. I had alot to cry about but that wasnt the time for it. My mother left the room leaving me to wrestle my thoughts. What was I going to do?                                                                                                                                                             Instantly, images of the time Michael and I slept together kept replaying in my mind. This wasnt the time to be thinking of that night but it seemed as if my mind was doing it almost involuntarily. The strokes, kisses and touches felt good then but now was a different story.
