Cupcake Part 1
Sunny:: C'mon Sophie! We're gonna be late! Me:: Hold your horses Sunny babe. Sunny:: *walks into the kitchen* What's taking you so long? Me:: Well! I stayed up all last night baking these cupcakes! *points to many plates of the mini cakes with the peace sign iced on the top* Sunny:: Wow! How will we fit them in the car!? Me:: Hmm, I didn't think of that. So Sunny and I called her mum Lilly and she came along with her car. We piled up half of the cakes into her car and half into ours. I was very pleased with myself, because I haven't put so much energy into anything before. I waved goodbye to Sunny and her mom and got into my car to follow after. I got rainbow card paper and wrote the different flavours on each one while Sunny set up the cakes in dfferent areas. It was outdoors and today just happened to be really bright and sunny. We only had a thin shade and it was already very hot. Sunny and I were told to apply suncream every 2 hours. As we started the first time, we saw some teenage boys from another stall walk past. One was tall and gangly, one was short and chubby and the other had thick glasses with curly hair. Sunny was slowly rubbing it on my back as the boys stopped in their tracks. Me:: *whispering* Sunny, look. Sunny:: *giggles* Yeah I know. We laugh at their blushes and they hesitantly walked away, secretly promising to come back throughout the day. I roll my eyes and watch as the guests started flooding in. Not everyone was "hippie-like" though, there were people from all cultures here. It was amazing to see so many people show up. 3:00pm At 9:00pm there was planned to be fireworks so I wanted to catch a few zzz's before then. Sunny said it was cool if I had a nap on our cosy woolen chair in the corner of the stall. I fell asleep instantly, the hot weather exhausting me. 5:00pm Sunny:: Honey, wake up. You need to apply the cream, you're getting some colour. Me:: *energetic and awake* Phew! How long was I out? Sunny:: Erm....2 hours I think. Me:: Geez, sorry. Once you're finished here, get some rest okay? Sunny:: *yawns* Cool. I sit on the orange stool and she stands behind me. I cringe as the cold cream makes contact with my warm back. She giggles and massages it all over the place. I look towards the entrance where two men have walked in. I stand up and walk over to them. (Sunny falls asleep on the chair) Me:: Hello I'm Sophie. How may I help you? Man 1:: These look really good. Did you make them? Me:: Yes I did thank you. Man 2:: *shocked* All of them? Me:: Yep. They're fresh if that's what you're thinking! They both laugh and the first man talks again. Man 1:: Well they smell nice too. I think I'll take three of these. Me:: That'll be $3.00. Man 2:: *pays and gives an OVERLY GENEROUS amount* Me:: Woah! Thank you so much! Man 2:: You're wecome Sophie. Man 1:: Here. *hands me one of the donuts* Me:: But...they're yours...? Man 1:: I bought it for you. Me:: Aww you guys are so cool. If you don't mind me asking....what are your names? They exchange a long, concentrating glance and I wonder if they're gonna answer. Me:: Because you don't have to. Man 1:: No, don't be silly. I'm Marlon. Me:: Marlon. I love it. *smiles* What's your name? Man 2:: *stutters* M..Michael. Sunny:: *snnoooore* Me:: *laughs* Sunny! Michael's an adorable name. Here, have two on the house. Marlon:: Hey thanks! Michael:: Marlon! Marlon:: She said it was cool. It's cool right? Me:: Of course! TBC....
