Music, Me and Michael Jackson (Part 31)
Hi its Sarah and welcome back to my lovely story! Sorry i ended it in a weird way in the last part but my bratty sister had to get on for homework. Which is such b.s. cuz she had to get on later when i was on and i wasnt on this computer for over an hour! Id like to dedicate this part to my friend Abby (get well soon!) and Michael Jackson. ENJOY!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------- He quickly glanced over at me and smiled. Michael: Huh? Me: Why do you have "Over the Rainbow" on this tape. Michael: Cuz its your favorite song. He's right. It is my favorite song. I love the pleasure of the song. Its from the movie "The Wizard of Oz" and he had just finished making another version of the movie called "The Wiz" but with an all black cast. He was the scarecrow. I guess that gave him the idea to put the song on the tape. Me: But why do you have it? Michael: Cuz i wanted to surprise you and make you feel happier cuz you love the song so much. That was SO sweet of him to do that for me. I know that it may seem that all he did was put a song on a tape, but in retrospect he took the time out of his day to do something special for me and i totally loved it! As we're driving, Michael pulls up to the beach. I havent been on any beach in a long time. We got there at sunset too! For like two years i havent been to one though. And for most of my life id go twice a year to a beach. We get out of the car and i run to the sand and had kicked my shoes off and felt the sand go through my toes. I missed it so much. I then run to the water to feel the ocean brush up against my feet and the feeling of it seemed so out of the ordinary but pleasant. Michael caught up to me finally and started talking. Michael: *out of breath* Wow you ran fast, Rachel. Me: I know. Ive missed the beach. Michael: I can tell! Hey i brought the radio with the tape in it. Me: Are you gonna play my favorite song again? Michael: No im gonna play a different song. Michael pushes the button of the radio and the music starts playing. He had gotten my SECOND favorite song on there. Fascination by Nat King Cole. It was as beautiful as it has always been since i heard it last. Michael's hand goes out to me. Michael: May i have this dance? Me: *speechless* Yes I take his hand and put my other hand on his shoulder. His other hand went on my back and it was as warm as it was the last time i felt it. We slow danced to the song and i was so happy. I laid my head on his shoulder and i felt him kiss me on the top of my head. It wasnt too hard. It was perfectly soft. I thought the song was about to end cuz its a short song but it didnt! It was actually a few minutes longer. When it DID end i raise my head and smile at Michael. I look into his eyes and knew what was gonna happen. Moments later we lean closer together and kiss. Wow. I didnt have to feel guilty anymore kissing Michael. He and Tatum broke up and last year me and Hyde broke up. I didnt want the kiss to end. Are we gonna date again? Its been so long... 4 years later...Its 1982. The 70s are LONG gone. Michael and i are both 24. He had released his album "Off the Wall" in 1979 and he just came out with a new album called "Thriller." I was so proud of him. Michael got to record the song i wrote "One Day in Your Life" and i recorded it too. His version sounded better than mine though. On New Years Eve of 1980 well technically it was 1979 then and it was about to be 1980. I called Donna and wished her and all her friends Happy New Year and she told me that Hyde wanted to talk to me. When i talked to him he told me that Jackie and he broke up (they dated btw which was so strange) and he said that we could be together again. I told him that i was dating Michael again and i knew he felt bad. Donna got married to Eric last year (i was the bridesmaid!) and so far theyre doing really well. "The Donny and Marie Show" had ended in 79 which was sad but they Marie told me later that they wanted to do other things and grow up. Me and Annabelle are hanging out right now doing some shopping. Annabelle: Im glad we FINALLY get to hang out together, Rachel. I swear that we never get to spend time with one another. Me: Ya, i wonder why. Annabelle: *mumbles* you should know. Me: What? Annabelle: Well whenever i wanna make plans with you, youre always hanging out with Michael. Me: Oh im sorry! I didnt mean to hurt your feelings or anything Annabelle! Annabelle: Well it seems that you always have time for Michael and never for anyone else. Oh my God! Was Annabelle ACTUALLY jealous? Me: Ok that is NOT true Anna. You know that im not with him 24/7. Annabelle: Well when youre not youre on the phone with him. Me: Nuh uh! I dont even live with him! Annabelle: Whatever. We go on with shopping. I was really pissed at her for saying those things. But they couldnt be true. Could they? We go to an Italian restraunt and just eat are meals. Then Annabelle starts to speak. Annabelle: So are you going to the "Motown 25" reunion thingy? Me: I dunno. Are you? Annabelle: Well ya. Marlon invited me. Me: But you guys arent even dating. Annabelle: So? Cant guys and girls be friends? Me: Ya youre right. Annabelle: Why didnt Michael invite you? Me: I dunno. He told me that he didnt wanna be in it. He just wanted to sit in the audience. Annabelle: Well i heard from Marlon that Berry Gordy is gonna ask him personally to do it. Berry Gordy. Thats a name that i havent heard in years. Michael used to idolize him growing up. I hope that Berry can convince him to do the show. Me: Do you know when? Annabelle: Some time this week. We finish our lunches and after Annabelle dropped me off at the house, she drove to where she lives. Shes married now to some lawyer named Anthony. Annabelle's expecting a baby girl in a few months. I still live with Mom and Dad cuz i cant stand being so lonely in a place by myself. Its just so uncomfortable for me. Me: Hi Mom. Mom: Hey dear. How was shopping with Annabelle? Me: Good. Im gonna go take a nap. Mom: Ok sweetheart. I go upstairs into my room when i look on my bed i jump back. Me: Michael! What are you doing here? ----------------------------------------------------------------- What did you think. I am SO out of it today so i didnt have many ideas. Id like to say that Rachel's favorite songs "Over the Rainbow" and "Fascination" are my favorite songs. If you havent heard either one of those songs, i recomend you do. Fascination is by Nat King Cole and Over the Rainbow is by Judy Garland. PLZ VOTE i want at least 10 like usual BYE!!
