Made me Better--12

On the way to the hospital I was trying t catch my breath. Michael was by my side the whole time holding my hand. This event didnâ??t change the way I felt about having this baby it just made it worst. I truly was serious about not wanting this baby, I most defiantly thought about adoption, because at this point that was my only option. I just hoped Michael didnâ??t think that my mind was changed. Before I knew it we were at the hospital and I was still in pain. The nurses got me a wheel chair and immediately took me into a room. Michael came in there with me to sooth meâ?¦well thatâ??s what I thought.

Michael: (sitting in the chair next to me) How are you feeling now.

Me: (holding my stomach) Iâ??m not doing so good, im still in pain.

Michael: Well have they said anything to you yet.

Me: No, they said that they were gonna come back in here to talk to me about whats going on when they got the resultsâ?¦ is anyone else here.

Michael: No, I didnâ??t call anyone because I figure it is just a false alarmâ?¦ So??

Me: (knowing what he is saying so about) So what Mike?

Michael: Why donâ??t you want toâ??

Me: (glaing at him) Look this is not the time to be talking about this.

Michael: (looking sad) So when is the time, when the baby is born because you have waited four whole months to tell me about this feeling you have, why couldnâ??t you have told me earlier and we could have been talked about it.

Me: (breathing hard) look Michael I am not doing good over here and the only thing that you are doing is making it worst I---

Dr. Thomas: (knocking on the already opened doorâ?¦with a worried look) Umm hi Mr. and Mrs. Jackson---

Me: (glaring) Mr. Jackson and Ms. Jones.

Dr. Thomas: Iâ??m sorry about thatâ?¦but I have bad news for you two.

Michael: (looking SUPER worried) What is itâ?¦is it something that can hurt the baby in the long run.

Dr. Thomas: Itâ??s not anything that can hurt the baby permanently, itâ??s just that the babies are experiencing some form of stress and the babies heart rate is beating way to fast which causes them to react, so what weâ??ll do is keep Ms. (looking at Me) Jones here for the night and run more test just to be sure that, that is the only problem.

Me: Did you say babies?

Dr. Thomas: (smiling)Yesâ?¦Maâ??am you are having twins.

Great twins. Michael didnâ??t say anything about it so I just assumed he didnâ??t catch on. This was awful news, you could see on Michaels face that he didnâ??t want any problems with the babyâ?¦babies, to tell you the truth neither did I. Michael stayed with me until 12:00, and I told him to go back home, and that when I got home that we would talk about our future. But to be honest I didnâ??t think there was even a future for us?
