When I pulled up at home I seen Derek car outside again. Before I walked into my home I called the police, after calling the police I went inside to find my home messed up again. Me: ( walking through the door) Derekâ?¦.Derek!!!! He wasnâ??t any where down stairs I knew he was here, so I walked up stairs still calling his name. Me: Derek. (walking in my room, Derek is standing there with a gun pointing it to his headâ?¦crying/shocked) what are you doing? Derek: Im gonna kill myself, you are cheating Me: (reasoning with him) No, No I wasnâ??t cheatingâ?¦Derek please donâ??t pull the trigger--- Derek: (yelling) TELL ME THE GODDAMN TRUTHâ?¦I SWEAR IF YOU DONâ??T IM (pointing the gun at me) GONNA BLOW YOUR BRAINS ALL OVER THIS PLACEâ?¦ Me: (scaredâ?¦crying)*thinking*(where are the damn cops) Ok, ok Derek Iâ??ll tell you the truth please put the gun down. Derek: No..just talk Me: Ok, I went out on a date ok Derek: (SCREAMING) DID YOU HAVE SEX WITH HIM. The cops finally came and I ran out of the room â?¦ Derek fired off 3 shots. None of them hit me the police ran upstairs and tackled him down to the ground. When they were leaving I didnâ??t feel safe at the house so I called my mother. Mom: Hello. ME:(CRYING HARD) MOM, MOMâ?¦.I CANT STAY HERE. Mom: Whats wrong baby calm downâ?¦ what happened? Me: DEREK, BROKE INTO MY HOUSE MOMâ?¦PLEASE. Mom: Laurie come here please. And we can talk. I left as soon as she said that, the whole drive to my mother I couldnâ??t stop thinking about what had happened I couldnâ??t imagine Derek doing something like this but I guess people donâ??t have limits. When I pulled up my mom was sitting on the porch waiting for me. When I walked up on the porch she hugged me tightly. Mom: Come in baby girl and tell me what happened. When we sat at the table my dad came down stairs. UGH. That was the last person I wanted to upset. Dad: What is all this commotion going on down hereâ?¦LJ what happened. Me: Oh daddy just go back to bed â?? Dad: No what happened, why are you crying. Mom: Harold please go back to bed. Dad: Laura im not TALKING TO YOU, now what happened, you know what if you donâ??t tell me you will tell Jason (brother). I surely didnâ??t want him knowing so My dad sat at the table with me and my mom and I told the both of them what had happened they were furious they wanted to press charges I told them that they didnâ??t have to worry about that the officers already told me what would happen. They let me stay there until the next morning. When I went to work I told James that I quit, Janelle was standing there listening she didnâ??t know what was going to happen. When I walked out of the store Janelle ran behind me calling my name. Janelle: Laurenâ?¦why are you quitting? Me: J im sick of this place. (crying) I hate it here. Janelle: Come on Laurie, tell me the truthâ?¦ itâ??s me youâ??re talking toâ?¦your bestfriend. Me: (crying) J I cant talk now, not here ok. Janelle: (starting to cry, she has always cried when a loved one cried ever since we were 8) Ok then lets talk some wh---- Me: Janelle. Noâ?¦ you know what I donâ??t even want to talk about it. Janelle: Come on, Lauren I can help. Me: Janelle you arenâ??t getting itâ?¦please okâ?¦ you cant fix everything ok ever since your dads death I thought you have figured that out by now. ( walking away) Janelle was standing there shocked as I walked away. What did she do to deserve what I just said? NOTHING. I didnâ??t mean what I had said.
