1995 lovers part 21

So about 3 months have gone by, Iâ??m 6th months into my pregnancy and my ankles are swelling, just my ankles, nothing else! And my ankles hurt tooâ?¦I canâ??t even put socks on!! Iâ??m afraid if Michael was here heâ??d put different colored socks on me. Stormi was outside with a few animals while I was cleaning up in my bed room. I felt the baby kick.

Me: (putting my hand on my stomach) youâ??re a feisty one arenâ??t you? (Giggles)

I continued cleaning as the baby kicked me a couple times then I heard the phone ringing. I walked from one side of the bed to the other and answered the phone.

Me: hello?
Michael: Hey sweetheart
Me: (wide eyed) Michael, hey (I smiled) itâ??s been a couple weeks
Michael: yeah I know, Iâ??ve been so tired the concertâ??s pretty tiring and I really canâ??t sleep
Me: why not?
Michael: I keep thinking about you, Stormi and the baby
Me: (giggles) Michael (I felt the baby kick me again) oohâ?¦
Michael: what? (He sounded concerned)
Me: the babyâ??s kickin me again
Michael: Really, I think theyâ??re telling you they want out
Me: weâ??ll theyâ??re gonna have to wait arenâ??t they
Michael: babeâ?¦
Me: Yeah?
Michael: I really miss youâ?¦
Me: I miss you tooâ?¦

Our voices both sounded upset. There was an awkward moment of silence until I decided to break it.

Me: Mike
Michael: Yeah?
Me: if the baby turns out to be a boy what should we name him?
Michael: Hmâ?¦I never really thought of that, how about Lawrence?
Me: Lawrence Jackson?
Michael: what you got something better?
Me: No, I know you came up with that at the top of your head
Michael: yeah I know, so what if we have a girl?
Me: hmmâ?¦I got it
Michael: what?
Me: not telling
Michael: come on babe
Me: no (I want to make it a surprise for you readers!!)
Michael: alright, youâ??ve gotta make me wait donâ??t you
Me: for about 3 more months!
Michael: seems like 3 years
Me: I know

Michael and I continued to talk for a couple hours, until he had to go. Stormi came inside sweaty I could tell sheâ??s been running around like crazy, Michael and I could have talked for hours and hours, but he had to work.  (I know Iâ??m speeding up time here) Itâ??s been about 3 months now again. Iâ??m now 9 months pregnant, 4 days over due. Iâ??ve been put into a hospital; Nadirah takes care of Stormi now until I get out of the hospital, it was about 7:37 a.m. when the doctorâ??s and nurses came into my room.

Nurse: Mrs. Jackson?
Me: (looks up) yeah?
Nurse: weâ??re gonna have to break your water, let you get dilated then youâ??re gonna go into labor soon.
Me: (I smiled a little) okay sounds good (rubs my stomach) just canâ??t wait to get this little thing out of me and finally meet my child

Michaelâ??s family was outside with Nadirah and Stormi waiting. One of the nurseâ??s went down to talk to the family while the others broke my water.

*about 4 hours later*

Iâ??ve never been in such pain before, I mean I was hurting! I never went through this pain with Stormi; this is like a knife being shoved up there. I would close my eyes as the contractionâ??s came and went. Soon the doctorâ??s came into the room, and it was time for me to deliver I couldnâ??t do this with out Michael! I closed my eyes tightly as the doctor and nurses positioned themselves at the end of my bed, I felt someone grab onto my hand I thought it was my dad but it wasnâ??t I opened my eyes and looked up at who was holding my hand.

Michael: (smiling) Iâ??m here nowâ?¦.everythingâ??s gonna be okayâ?¦
