Last Breath (Part 1 By M.S.)

I was walking towards my car,it was freezing and snowing. It was dark outside and the parking lot was empty.i was scammbling through my keys to get in my car. I could feel the breath of someone on my neck. The hairs on my neck stood up. I reached for my peper spray and jerked around and sprayed a strange man in the face.

Strange man: (screaming)

Me: who are you!!!

Strange man: (whipping eyes) I-i-i-i'm michael

Me: michael.... what do you want

Michael: My car broke down about 6 miles down the road and someones on the way to pick it up

Me: so you exspect me to give you a ride... you gotta be kidding me

Michael: well i-i-i..

Me: you what!?

Michael: i couldent find any one elsa while i was walking all the cars just drove past never looking back..

Me: im sorry.. but i dont pick up strangers...

Michael: oh (sad) so your gonna let me walk in the snow

Me: (looking away) hold on

Michael: Thank you so much!!!

Me: yea (scrammbling through keys again)

Michael: wow... you sure have lots of keys (smileing)

Me: (looking up) yea...

Michael: Its that one (takes keys and unlocks car door)

Me: (staring at him strangly)you live in town?

Michael: yes i do

Me: ok address?

Michael: 4132 Oxford Ave. (smiling)

The car ride was nothing but pure silence. No conversation or anything. My hands were wandering on the wheel. I couldent help but think who this man was. What was i thinking i thought to myself. We pulled into the brightly lit neighborhood.

Michael: that house right there... by the way whats your name..

Me: my name is (thinking to self hard about what name is) ....

Michael: uhm thanks for the ride?.... maybe i can take you for coffee later (smileing)

Me: uhm i dont know

Michael: Oh ok.... heres my number if you happen to change your mind (smiling)

I drove off into the distance. I kept looking back. I felt i needed to know him like i knew him.
