I woke up at 7:30 this morning and did my normal routine. Shower, brush my 
teeth, change, eat, yell bye, then leave. I didn't see Xavier, my dad, or my sisters 
(twins) this morning. Come to think of it, I haven't seen any of them in a while. I 
feel really isolated from my family because of all the drama I've been through 
lately. I walked out the door and saw a black truck pull out of a driveway 4 houses 
down from mine. You already know who it is. Surprisingly, he didn't drive off. I 
think he's waiting for me. I caught up and stepped inside. He didn't make eye 
contact with me, or even talk to me. He just started driving.

??: How was your double date last night?

I looked over at MJ, but he still didn't look at me.

Me: How did you know about that?

I turned my attention back to road because he wasn't paying me any mind.

MJ: Roc told me. He also said you had to pay for your own dinner.

MJ smirked and finally looked at me.

Me: Yeah, I did. But for some reason I still ended up forgiving him.

I still had my head down. I didn't want him to see the guilt in my eyes. I scoffed 
and looked down playing with my fingers.

MJ: Why do you keep doing that?

I looked up at him to see that his expression had changed. He looked really upset 
but he kept his eyes on the road.

Me: I don't know. I guess I just keep falling for him all over again.

I looked back down again.

MJ: And then you have him break your heart again? Why are you doing this to 
yourself?

That was a good question that I just couldn't answer, so I didn't. The rest of the 
ride was awkward and silent. Once we got to school, I got out and let MJ walk me 
to my locker.

MJ: Are you ok? You're never this quiet.

He lifted up my chin.

I looked into his eyes and couldn't help tearing up. I think I'm in love with him.

Ray: What's going on here?

Then all of a sudden, Ray approached us. He gave MJ a serious look that MJ 
returned.

MJ: Goodbye Cierra.

MJ turned around and left. I tried my best not to break down crying in front of Ray, 
because I know he would be after MJ if I did.

Ray: What was going on between you two? And why are you crying? Did he hurt 
you?

I shook my head no and started blinking really fast to stop my tears.

Ray: Cierra, what's wrong?

He didn't sound sincere at all though. He sounded annoyed.

Me: Nothing, Ray.

I had to lie. Returning the same annoyed tone he gave me.

Ray: Why didn't you walk with me this morning?
Me: I got a ride from MJ.

I knew I shouldn't have said that. But I'm tired of lying.

Ray: I thought it was clear that we don't talk to him.

Ray grabbed my hand, but I pulled away.

Me: I can talk to whoever I want to.
Ray: Whenever MJ's around, something goes wrong. You can't hangout with him 
anymore.

Ray stared at people as they walked by. He wasn't paying any attention to me.

Me: Well, the last time I checked, you don't control me.

I slammed my locker shut, making Ray jump and return his attention back to me.

Ray: What was that for?

I turned around and walked away before he could say anything else that would 
make me want to punch him in the face. But he caught up and started walking 
with me.

Ray: Baby... I'm sorry for... Whatever you're mad about right now.

Ray stopped me in the hallway. I rolled my eyes at him before raising my 
eyebrows as a way of saying, " continue ".

Ray: Look, you are the first girlfriend I've had, and I have an abusive father so I 
never really learned what it was like to be a gentleman. Please, give me another 
chance.

Ray was holding my hands giving me the cutest puppy dog pout ever. Once again, 
I keep falling back into his trap. The crowd was starting to disappear, because 
theÂ school bell had went. Ray decided to walk me to my first period class.

Me: Thanks Ray, see you at lunch.

I was about to enter my classroom. But Ray pulled me back. As always.

Ray: Your welcome. I'm gonna have a little family reunion tonight and I think this 
would be the perfect opportunity for you to meet my family.

I don't think this is the best idea. I would be surrounded by a bunch of strangers 
with somebody I don't really want to be with in the first place. But of course I said 
yes. Ray smiled and kissed my cheek.

Ray: Thanks babe!!! See you tonight.

Greeaattt!!!! I can't wait!!!!
