The Real Deal - First Chapter
Prologue; (i actually dont know what a prologue is so ima skip this part lol) Chapter 1: He's such a kid --- 1992 I had just moved in with Michael after he begged me endlessly. I finally gave in and decided to move in. We're just friends but we're close. He said he doesn't like living alone, so that helped me decide. I've always loved Neverland so moving in was a piece of cake. But what's not is trying to get my work done. Michael keeps bugging me and messing around. "Michael please stop this," I say, concentrating on the fuzzy computer. "I'm not doing anything," he says, oddly. Obviously trying to hide a laugh. He walks over and snatches up a paper. "Ooh what's this?," he asks examining the paper. I launch my hand at the side of his neck and move my fingers around. He's laughing so hard he forgets about the paper. I take it and adjust back to where I was on the computer. He sits next to me and puts his head on my shoulder. "Come on, J. Play games with me" "Michael, I'm working right now." "Just for a few minutes then you can go back to work..," Michael says, pulling on my arm. "No. For a few minutes, I can work right now." "Why not right now?," he asks, pulling on my shoulder. "I don't have time, Mike! Let me finish this," I snap, pulling his arm off of me. He frowns, "You never have time to play games..." "You know what? fine! Let's play games," I say, spinning around in the computer chair to face a pouty Michael. He slowly smiles at me. Then switches back to a frown and crosses his arms, "Nope. June you've messed up. It's too late," he turns away from me. For a SECOND I believe him. I realize what he's doing. "Oh fine. I'm sorry Michael," I say convincingly. I walk up behind him slowly. "Nope, nope it's too--AHAHAHAHA!! J STOP!!" I tickled him until he turned red and was crying. He covered his face, and slowed down his laughter. It eventually came down to a giggle, here and there. He uncovered his face and giggled. "Why do you do this to me?," he asks, giggling more. I shrugged. I wasn't gonna tell him for real. I do it because I know he's silly, and ticklish. And his laugh is cute. "Let's have a water fight," he says running to the backdoor. I slowly make my way there and groan. "Michael, I don't want to have a waterfight..." "You said you'd play games with me, and this is a game." "I'll have to walk all the way out of the door, and around to where the guns are..ugh," I say, not really bothered by this. I know what Michael's going to do about this... "Jump on my back, I'll take you there. I will NOT fill your watergun though," he bends his knees waiting for me to jump on. Haha I know him so well. I jump on his back and he sprints out the door, I'm gripping his shoulders for dear life. What the hell? I had no idea he would take off running. "We're here," he says, breathlessly. Crouching again so I can jump off. He smiles at me before going towards the waterguns. I snatch up the super soaker and fill it quickly. I pump the nozzle, a thousand times before running away from Michael. I wait for him to come near me. Once, he gets close I fire away. I miss every shot. With one shot he shoots me. "Wow, okay. I got you, Mike. I'm gonna annihilate you in the next round," I ran to the water hose and filled up my gun again. I pumped, a LOT. And shot at Michael. He kept moving out the way and running until he ran the wrong way. "Got you!," I yell, doing a victory dance. He laughs, "Once. You got me once. It's a tie" Hours later we're both soaking wet and tired from running around so much. We're both laughing and making our way to the house. "I totally won," I say grabbing some juice. "No, I did. I always win," Michael says, getting a water. "Time for a change," I laugh. I grab a towel and wrap it around my hair. Michael does the same same thing and I can't stop laughing. "What?," he asks looking at me strangely. I point up at the towel on his head and he laughs too, taking it off. "Better?," he asks. "Yeah..hey I'm going to finish my work now" I start moving towards the family room where the computer is. "Wait, June!," Michael yells jumping in front of me. "Let's watch a movie!," Michael says, like I don't have to finish my work. "No." "Please, June. Then RIGHT after you can go back to work," he says still in front of me. "Isn't that what you said last time?," I ask leisurely making my way around him and to the computer chair. "But I mean it this time. Now come on," he says, grabbing my shoulders. "Ugh fine. But after I'm going to work for real," I say, walking with him to the theatre. Why do I keep flipping for these shenanigans? I should just accept, right now, that I'll never get back to work until tomorrow..
