Hey, letâ??s get to it! π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π Chapter 45 A Small Discrepancy Twenty four hours later (almost), I was feeling better, I guess. I had just taken a shower at the Jacksons home, and I was about to put on my dress, which was in Janetâ??s room. When I went to go and get it, I didnâ??t see it! â??Looking for something?â? Oh, I knew that voice, which was a bit high-pitch. I turned around to face LaToya in the doorway. I took a quick breath because I had no patients for her. And if she wasnâ??t careful enough, she would see me go crazy. â??Yeah, Iâ??m lookinâ?? for my dress. Know where it is?â? I asked her through my dry breath. â??Yeah, I know where it is,â? smirk. â??Well, where LaToya?â? â??Here,â? she says and grabs my arm. She runs me to her room. LaToya opens the door and lets out a screech before turning on her light. â??Girl, whatâ??s wrong?â? I asked. She turns to me with that smirk again and I see whatâ??s wrong. But I canâ??t believe itâ?¦. I see some animals crawling ALL over my dress that I was gonna wear tonight. I take a step forward then I scream myself. â??Whatâ??s wrong?â? â??Whatâ??s with all this screaming, LaToya?â? â??What happened?â? I was stuck as stone as I watched mice crawling on it and other various animals. â??What is it?â? All of us turned around to see Michael coming into the room. â??Uh, all these animals got on Lyricâ??s dress! I came in here, and I saw this mess. WHO did it?â? she says. â??LaToya!â? Michael yells. â??Donâ??t go blaming it on me, Michael. I didnâ??t do this. Is this one of your pranks? Did you really THINK it was mine?â? â??NO, I didnâ??t. And thatâ??s why I donâ??t understand how this crap got on her dress.â? â??I donâ??t wanna wear it anymore,â? that was the first thing I said. â??Randy, did you do this?â? LaToya pointed her finger at him. â??NO, did YOU? You know you hate her.â? â??Randy!â? she grunted. â??You know what, just forget about it,â? I mumbled. I was walking out the room when I heard Janet said something that would turn things around for me. â??But thereâ??s another dress Lyric CAN wear.â? She says. â??What?â? I quickened my pace. â??This dress.â? I find her holding in this amazing dress that looked a little shimmery compared to mine. And guess what, it was black! A color to die for! The dress had a few slits on the sides, so I was trying to see if it REALLY was a belonging of LaToyaâ??s. â??Who has this dress?â? â??Bobby DEBARGE gave it to her.â? Janet said. â??Bobby DEBARGE?â? â??Where do you think songs like â??I Call Your Nameâ?? and â??Thereâ??ll Never Beâ?? came from? All LaToya.â? she says. LaToya turns red as she stalks out the room as Katherine goes after her with all her questions. Michael walks over to me and asked if I would mind wearing LaToyaâ??s dress. I put the dress up against me, and I shook my head. â??No, I donâ??t mind wearing it.â? He walks out the room then. Janet helped me to get my new dress on, and we just lotion up a few more spots to be safe. â??The only problem is WHAT am I going to do with my hair now!â? â??How was you gonna have it?â? â??Brushed back but wavy. Think itâ??ll look good?â? â??Lyric, youâ??re wearing â??Toyaâ??s dress. You look hot. I think you can pull it off.â? She says. â??I guess.â? I said as I played in it a little. â??Iâ??m changing some of my accessories, too.â? Which I did. When I finally got downstairs, I could say Michael and I was matching fairly-well. He had on his black corduroy outfit. And as I got closer, I saw that he had on this necklace or string cowboys wear. And as he embraced me in a one-arm hug, I noticed he had a little cleavage showing. The cleavage insinuated his chest, which is muscular. â??Got your breast hanging all out,â? he whispered in my ear. â??They are not!â? I whispered so the rest of the family couldnâ??t hear. â??Theyâ??re matted down.â? â??I wonder how serious Bobby was for LaToya when he bought this for her,â? I heard him mumble. There were two limos parked outside for us. Katherine and Joseph got in one limo with LaToya, Marlon and Carol, Tito and Dee Dee, and Randy. Janet, Michael, Jackie and Enid, then Jermaine and Hazel, and I got in the second limo. Because of limited space, Janet had to double up with Jackie, and they TRIED making me do the same with Michael, but Hazel reserved herself on Jermaine. â??So, whose swanky dress is that?â? Hazel asked as she pointed to mine. I glanced over at Michael to see what to say. His expression hadnâ??t changed. If anything, it grew intense. â??Mine. For the night. My other is getting clean.â? â??What happened?â? â??Michaelâ??s animals got loose, but it wasnâ??t his fault,â? Janet says. â??Oh,â? she nods her head. Then we listened as she told us how hard it was to find a baby-sitter to look after her kids since her father would be at the premiere. â??I wouldâ??ve asked Janet, but I heard she was going, too.â? Her smile was a little tooâ?¦gingerly. And innocent. Janet reflected her smile. But through it all, Michael made it his business to hold my hand. As I would look at him, I couldnâ??t hide my smile, so I had to stop looking at him. Then we made a stop. I wasnâ??t sure where, but when the limo door opened, I leaned over to see like everyone else. Thatâ??s when I came face-to-face with my father. π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π The craziest but best thing happened to me. I was having trouble with finding a dress you could see, but when I found this dress, it gave me an idea. ~Aariyan.
