At Last (Twenty-eight)
Hello! Sorry I didn't write anything lately. Busy. Sadly, Elizabeth Taylor passed away a couple days ago and I am sad about it, but at least she and Michael are reunited. I want to dedicate this to the mjsite peeps out there, Michael Jackson, those over in Japan, and Elizabeth Taylor. Enjoy! Rest in peace, Michael and Elizabeth. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Michael slowly bent down on one knee, took the ring away from me and slid it on my finger. He looked serious. With tears in my eyes, I noticed this. Michael: Sweetheart... Then out of nowhere, Michael started to sweat. I could tell he was nervous and hesitant about asking me to marry him, and I was nervous for him. He was grabbing my hand so tight and the palms of his hands were sweating. His face started to drip beads and beads of sweat and his underarms started to perspire. He showed a face of fear of the unknown. He started to repeat himself. Michael: Honey...Felicity Elizabeth Banks... Me: Yes, Michael? Michael: Honey, will you...will you...(takes a deep breath) Me: (softly) Michael, don't be hesistant to tell me... Michael: (whispers to himself) Oh, God...(to me) Honey... Then he finally spit those very four beautiful, life-changing word out. Michael: *Will you marry me*? In my head, wedding bells played and there was a brief picture in my head of me in a wedding dress and him in a tuxedo kissing when the preacher weds us. It looked amazing. I loved Michael with every bone in my body and I had been through everything with this man, and even hardships. But those hardships are what made our relationship stronger and it provoked us to be better partners. I was dangerously in love with this man, and I wanted to spend the rest of my life being next to him. He was my love and I belonged to him...and only him. No other man could ever make me feel the way I felt about him. He was the only man that could ever make me satisfied. His hands were the only hands that were allowed to touch me wherever he wanted, his lips were the only lips that could make me swoon every time I kiss them, his body was the only I craved and his soul was the only soul that my soul wanted to be next to. I looked deeply into his cocoa brown eyes, and once my eyes faced them, my eyes started to flood with tears of joy. Me: ...yes... Michael: W-What? Y-You... Me: Yes! Yes, Michael Joseph Jackson! YES! Michael: YESS! (picks me up and holds me tight to him) ---------------------------------------------------------------- *Eight months later, October 12, 1996 There I was, waiting nervously in my pure white Giorgio Armani wedding gown, wishing to bite my nails, but couldn't because press-on nails were attached to my actual nails. They hurt like hell! I wanted to rip them off and just dip my fingers into some ice cold water, but I had to look pretty to officially marry the man that I had deep feelings for. When I was standing there by myself, just looking down at myself in my gown, in the mirror, unexpectedly, someone quietly opened the door. I was afraid it was Michael, but it wasn't him. It was someone else. Me: (turns around) Oh my...(gasps) It was Princess Di! She was so busy, I thought that she wouldn't come, but...she remembered what I told her and she came back. Me: DIANA! (runs to her) Princess Di: Hello, love! I ran to her and I gave her the warmest hug ever made. Diana was our true friend. Everytime I was in England, I would visit her and she would invite me to royalty dinner and I would even come see sick children in the hospital with her. When I wasn't in England, I would always call her and when I was having trouble, she would comfort me and I would do the same for her. Sometimes, she would call me in the middle of the night, crying that the paparazzi wouldn't leave her alone, and I would always give her secure comfort, even though we were over the phone and we were in different countries. We were long distance sisters. I kissed her on the cheek and kept on holding onto her. Princess Di: You look lovely! Me: Aw, thanks! You look hot yourself. Princess Di: Uh, "hot"? Me: Oh! (giggles) That's an American expression. It means "pretty" or "looking lovely." That's all it is. Princess Diana: Oh...(laughs) I'm going to try to understand these American expressions. Ah, look at you, dear. I was right when I said that you were going to marry Michael. Me: Yeah, you are...I thought that you wouldn't come. Princess Di: Oh, how could I forget attending a wedding of my two good friends? I would be a nutter if I did. Now, I was confused. Me: (confused) What's a "nutter"? Princess Di: Oh, I'm sorry. In English slang, a "nutter" is a crazy person. Me: Oh, I get it. (laughs) We were laughing together. Then another wonderful friend of mine came along. Elizabeth walked in with a huge smile on her face. Elizabeth: Oh, you look absolutely gorgeous, dear! Me: Aw, thank you, Liz. Elizabeth: Now, Felicity, you know I don't like to be called "Liz." Me: Oh, sorry. I forgot. (giggles) Do you know Princess Di? Elizabeth: Oh, yes. We know each other. (smiles at Diana) Princess Di: And we're very good friends. (holds Elizabeth's hand) Me: That's good. (smiles) Then I heard the wedding start. my stomach turned into knots, and a very worried look appeared on my face and Diana and Elizabeth clearly saw it. Elizabeth: Aw, dear...Don't be nervous. Me: (still looking worried) She came up to me and she gently consoled me, while Diana joined, too. Me: Well, it's hard for me to not be nervous. Elizabeth: I know, dear. I know. I know what it's like to be nervous. You have cold feet. That's natural. Everyone has it... Princess Di: But when you walk down that aisle and when Michael lifts up your veil, you're going to be okay... Elizabeth: And when the preacher weds you, and when you share that kiss, the world will go back into place. Me: (starts to smile) That helped me. Thank you, guys. Elizabeth: Our pleasure. All three of us bundled together and shared a group hug. I loved these women. Elizabeth was like a mother figure and Diana was like a sisterly figure to me. I wouldn't know what to do without their loyalty, their trust, their love, and their comfort. I kissed both of their cheeks, and Elizabeth handed me my bouquet: beautiful white and yellow roses. They looked so beautiful! I softly put them to my nose and smelled them. They smelled so sweet and so pure. I could tell they were fresh. Elizabeth: Are you ready? Me: (nods head) Elizabeth: Good. Frank walked in with a nice-fitting tux on him with a flower of his shirt. Frank: Ya ready, Liss Miss? Me: Sho you right, Frank in the Bank. (smiles) We walked out into the park, where the wedding took place. It had endless statue of budda statues and figures. The reason for this is that we were in S. Korea, because of Michael's HIStory Tour. I took one look at Michael and I felt so light-headed already. He looked so beautiful! He was wearing all white, with a white fedora, white socks, and black shoes. He looked quite similar to when we shot "Smooth Criminal." His pure white tuxedo favored the outfit he wore in that video. He had the same sexual smirk on his face as he did the night he proposed to me. This made me very nervous. We exchanged rings, said our vows, and all of that good stuff. Blah, blah, blah. Then the preacher finally wed us. Preacher: I'm happy to announce these two beautiful people husband and wife. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Joseph Jackson. The "Gloved One," may kiss his bride. The crowd chuckled a bit, and then Michael put his hand on my face and kissed me so passionately. I swear, it was the most sexual kiss he had ever given me. I felt so mesmerized. While everyone was cheering, we whispered in each other's ears. *In whisper mode* Michael: I'm glad you're my wife now. Me: Me, too. I can't wait until tonight. Michael: Why? Me: Because you know...(whistles) Michael: Oh, yeah. (giggles) At the reception, Michael and I danced to "At Last." As we were slowdancing, my head rested on his shoulder as he held me by my waist and kissed my forehead. After our dance, I felt someone come up to me. It was LaToya. LaToya: Look, I know you're pretty mad at me for all I've done to you these past nine years, and I just wanted to say that I...I'm sorry. Me: (looks at her like she's crazy) What? LaToya: I was wrong, and I judged you too quickly. I just wanted to protect Michael. I feel stupid for all of this. You really love my brother and he really loves you. I hope you forgive me. Me: (smiles) I forgive you. laToya: (hugs me) I'm happy you do. I know this is hard to believe, but I think that we would be very good friends. Me: I would like that. That was when the worst seed of all became good. She was actually a nice person. Anyway, I had a great time! Michael and I stuffed cake in each other's faces, we partied to all of his jams, including my favorites, "Bad," and "Billie Jean," he played a song on the piano, called "The Love You Give Me," while singing, both of us sung, "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," (I actually have a good singing voice. I'm no Whitney Houston, but I sound good), and I drunk like more that a dozen drinks. I was drunk LIKE A FISH!! I had slurred speech, I was wobbly, and Michael even had to carry back to the limo. It was great night, and it was the greatest in my life. We got into the hotel, and we didn't do what we planned to do, because I was throwing up all over the place, but we renewed our honeymoon on April 8, 1997. Our marriage was great and we knew we would want to be together for as long as we could breathe. TBC... What did you think?
