At Last (Part Five)
Hi! I'm here now, and here is part five. Hope you like it. I want to dedicate this to all of these mjsite peeps and Michael Jackson. Enjoy this! And don't worry. Parts with Michael in it will show up. ---------------------------------------------------------------- March 15, 1987 On that day, my adoptive brother, Nicholas, dropped me off at the airport for Encino, California. I brought Daisy with me, just in case someone who made it didn't do it anymore. At 11 in the morning, we got on the plane. We spent eight long hours in good ole' coach! Noticed I was sarcastic about that. It was like hell on earth. Everything went wrong on that plane. We had to deal with a baby who was constantly crying, and it was really giving me a headache. That made me not to want to become a mother anytime soon. (lol) We also had to spend eight hours with this fat guy who kept passing gas, and who smelled like a pig farm! When those eight hours of hell were over, we finally landed at the LAX. There was a big, black stretch limo crowded with a whole bunch of people, so I knew it was for us. The chauffer put all of our suitcases in the trunk, and when I saw Michael in the limo, smiling at me, the song that immediately came in my head was, "At Last," by Etta James (I love that song, btw) Michael: Hi. (looks down at me and bites his bottom lip) How are you? Oh, good Lord! He was sooo cute! He wasn't wearing a hat this time, but his hair was in luscious, black curls and it gathered into a long ponytail, but waves of curls were still in front of his beautiful eyes. He had on a red polo and he looked like prince charming. Me: (looks into his eyes) I'm great. (turns around) Daisy, SHAMONE! I heard Michael giggling. I felt so embarassed, because since I did that all the time, I forgot that I said that in front of him. Me: (fake laughs, just embarassed) I got that from you, obviously. So...I heard that you're recording a new album. Michael: Yes...how did you know that? Me: We have magazines back in Jersey, too. Duh! Michael: (laughing and acting dumb) Oh yeah, that's right. Us: (laughing hard) Me: Hold on for a minute. (gets out of the car) Daisy! Get in this limo right now! I wanna eat and take a shower. Daisy: Okay, okay! Quit the naggin'. (gets in the car) Hi, Michael. I'm Daisy Shruder. (shakes his hand) Michael: Hello. Look, I'm very sorry that I put you as first alternate. I hope you're not upset at me. Daisy: Oh, that's okay. Lissie told me everything. Michael: Lissie? Me: Oh, that's my nickname. Michael: (smiles) Lissie...I like it. I couldn't help but smile at him. We drove in the limo, and Daisy and I were so amazed by the palm trees, the nice houses, and the sunny atmosphere of Cali. Jersey was nothin' like this. I noticed that Michael was looking at me. Me: Why are you lookin' at me like that? Michael: Um...because you look great. Me: You're kiddin' right? I look like a rag doll on crack. (laughs to myself) Michael: (giggles) To you, you do, but to me, you look like a beautiful baby doll. Me: Wow, Sir Charms A Lot. You have a silver tongue. Michael: (giggles) Before you know it, we landed at his house. Michael: Here is the Jackson home. Me: Whoa! This is your place? Daisy: Dang! Your pad is hot! Michael: Thank you. I want you guys to meet my family. The minute we walked in, our eyes just grew wide. It was soooo beautiful! It had nice portraits of the family and of Michael. It had rich, statues of works of art, and outside, there was a beautiful view of a huge pool and a nice garden. We walked into the kitchen and it was smelling so good in there. Michael's mom was cooking a pot roast and she was also baking a cake. Right away, my mouth started to water, because it looked so yummy and I was starving! I wouldn't dare to eat airplane food. It looked weird. Anyway, I then saw Janet helping her mother cook, cutting up and peeling off the skin of potatoes. Michael: Mother, Janet. These are my friends I was telling you about. This is Felicity Banks and this is Daisy Shruder. Mrs. Jackson: (smiling) Hello, ladies. Welcome to our home. Me: It's a pleasure to meet you. Daisy: And your house is so beautiful. Janet: (cutting in) Thank you. Daisy: (gasps) Oh my God. Y-You're Janet Jackson! Janet: Yep. That's my name, don't wear it out. Daisy ran over to her and gave her a big bear hug, just jumping and screaming. I was so embarassed by her behavior. Daisy: I love you! Janet: (choked in a hug) Uh...you're hugging me a little too tight. I can't breathe. Daisy: Oh, I'm sorry. (lets go of her) Can you give me your autograph on this piece of paper? It's for my brother, Jerry. He thinks that he's gonna marry you someday, but I doubt it. Janet: Oh really? How old is he? Daisy: Eight. (Both Daisy and Janet laugh) Me: Hey, Daise. Let's meet everyone else right quick. Daisy: Uh...I'll meet them later. Imma hang with Janet. Me: Alright. Michael and I went into the backyard by the pool, and since nobody was there yet, we just sat there and got to know each other. Michael: So, how was your flight? Me: It was terrible. Michael: Really? How come? Me: Well, we had to sit near a screaming baby and we had to sit by this guy who smelled so bad. Michael: What did he smell like? Me: Have you ever driven past a pig farm? Michael: Oh God, yes! It smells so bad. Me: Exactly. Michael: You had to smell that for eight hours? Me: Yep. It was pure hell. Just then, we saw a black Rolls Royce drive up to the driveway. Michael: Those must be my brothers. (gets up) Come on. I'll introduce you to them. When all of them came out, he started to introduce them to me. Michael: Felicity, I would like you to meet Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Randy. Guys, this is Felicity Banks. She's one of my backup dancers for "Smooth Criminal." Me: (smiling) Hi. Jermaine: Hello. (kisses my hand) How are you today, beautiful? Tito: Stop it, Jermaine! You know that's Michael's girlfriend. Michael: (red-faced) She's not my girlfriend, Tito! All of the brothers, except Michael were laughing. Michael looked very uncomfortable and embarassed. I could tell he wanted out of there. Michael: (nervous) Um...do you want to walk by the pool together? Me: (smiles) Why not? Michael: (smiles back) Okay. Come on. As we started to walk to the backyard, Michael's brothers started teasing him. All of Them: MICHAEL'S GOT A GIRLFRIEND! MICHAEL'S GOT A GIRLFRIEND! Michael: (turns around) Stop it! Jermaine: (continues teasing) Michael and Felicity, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! Michael: (getting red-faced) That's so childish, Jermaine. Jermaine: Aw, don't deny it, Michael! So...when's your wedding? The brothers: (laughing) Tito: Jermaine, leave him alone. Let the lovebirds be alone. They continued laughing, and Michael became even more embarassed. We just ignored it and walked away. As we were walking around the garden, Michael had his head down. Michael: I am very sorry about that. Sometimes, my brothers can get a little obnoxious. Me: That's alright. It's no big deal. Michael: (grabs my hand) I hope you like it here. Me: I will. (smiles) TBC... Whadidya think, ya'll?
