a dream that came true part 1

my character is monae.

the year is 1974 and i am moving to Gary,indiana to  live with my MOTHER* sorry if the date is  wrong when michael started 10th grade*. Let me tell you about myself. im 14 and i love the jackson 5.. i use to live in detroit with my mom and dad until our house burned down with my dad in it.. After the funeral we moved to gary,indiana to start a new life.. the new school i am going to is Gary high school. well today is the last day of summer break and i wanted to try and celebrate..

*thursday morning*

i wake up and get ready to go on my morning jog. 
my mom is talking to someone in the kitchen.

?????: Soo, shes going to looove michael, he is sokind and sweet.
portia*my mom*: Great! can you have for jackie,jermain, tito, marlon,randy, michael, and janet to come over this morning?!*latoya and rebie wasnt born*

?????: Sure! 
i come downstairs.. they look at me.

me: good morning mom* grabbing water* 
mom: good morning.. i would like for you to meet someone and some others.. this is Mrs. Jackson* joseph wasnt in the picture*.

me: hello mrs.jackson.. 
mrs.jackson: just call me ms.k or katherine which ever one you want dear..

me: ok. *standing in shock and gives katherine a hug.* 
katherine: *hugging me* i guess ill go and get the others. ill be right back.

me:*looks at mom* how come you didnt tell me you knew katherine?!

mom: because i knew you was going to freak out and so i kept it a secret..

me: well, im about togo out jogging k?

mom: k. and take ur cell. 
me: ok. bye.

so i head for the front door and these group of people are standing on my porch........
