Brianna: Kourtney, babe, have you got some time for a catch up this week? We havent spoken in ages.
Me: (Plays with phone cord) I'd love to. When?
Brianna: Um tonight?
Me: I dont know hun. I have work. Tomorrow?
Brianna: That wont work. Can you get out of work, even just for a few hours? I have someone I want you to meet.
Me: But i'm really quite busy.
Brianna: Ohhh pweeassee!? You'll be so happy if you came?
Me: Oh finne! (Laughs)
Brianna: Great! Meet me at the Martini Club at 8pm. Kay?
Me: A club? Ughh alright. See you then, hun.
Brianna: Bye.

I hang up and finish off my lunch. I walk up to my boss's door and I knock quietly.

Mr. Johns: Come in....
Me: Hey Mr. Johns-
Mr. Johns: Please, call me Isaac.
Me: If you say so, Isaac. I have a friend who is in town for one night only. I think she wants to introduce me to her new boyfriend and well, I need to leave a bit earlier tonight to see her. May I?
Isaac: Hmmm okay then. Have a good night.
Me: Thanks, and yeah I will.

I leave and go home to get ready.
