Here are the Jackson 5 & drummer Johnny Jackson backstage at the Appollo Theater in New York. Bobby Taylor of the Vancouvers saw the Jackson brothers performing, and he loved what he saw, so he arranged an audition with Berry Gordy of Motown Records. Just imagine Michael in this picture, and him not even having the slightest clue what his life would be like after signing with Motown. Here he could walk to the candy store or go anywhere, & not have screaming fans tearing out his hair. He was a regular boy.
